If you’re not already a pro, using WordPress for SEO can be a tough skill to learn. So for a tip on that front, we’re big fans of the Yoast SEO plugin.
As it turns out, there’s been a built-in fix to our SEO woes all along. We just never realized it until we installed this amazing plugin. Now, let’s set some things straight: You do not need any coding experience to install Yoast. Instead, you need a WordPress website and access to login. All you have to do is follow these steps to getting started:
Log in to your WordPress website.
Once you login, you’ll be taken to your Dashboard. Click on “Plugins” on the left side panel.
Click “Add New Plugin” at the top.
Search for “Yoast SEO” in the search bar on the right side.
Click “Install Now” when you see the plugin in the search results.
Then, it will take you to a separate screen where you will have to click “Activate Plugin.” If you do not click “Activate Plugin” you will not see the Yoast SEO features in your posts or pages.
Now, you can see the plugin listed in your Plugins section on the left panel.
You can also see an “SEO” section on the left panel of your dashboard. This panel will be used for updating your homepage meta description, finding your sitemap, and connecting your Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.
These days, SEO should be used on all your pages and posts in WordPress, but the Yoast SEO plugin allows you to do it in no time. And, these tools actually come in handy when building out your content with keywords. Yoast SEO seamlessly integrates with your WordPress website for everyday use. Bloggers and small businesses, this one’s for you.
